My little French Bulldog Beau is a big part of my life, I can’t remember life without him. He is a loving little fella who brings me so much joy and love. He, like many of his breed, has a sensitive tummy, so I am very careful with what I give him to eat, particularly in the treat department. I always choose natural products and even then he has sensitivity around some meats. I am lucky that he is very sociable with people who come into my home, but when my doorbell goes, he gets very over excited. He kind of jumps at people like a small kangaroo! Not all people like this and some shy away from him but sadly, he does not give up and demands attention from them. So in my house it’s very much ‘Love me, love my dog’!
I know from the enquiries we get, that there is a lot of hesitation when you have pets. There can be resistance to the idea of somebody coming into your home, particularly if you are not there. As a dog owner myself and an all round animal lover, I felt exactly the same. You need peace of mind that those coming into your home can handle your pets. That they will be kind to them and follow any instructions.
Post lockdown saw a massive surge in pets, and my guess is that 40% of our clients have dogs or cats. We love interacting with them. They can brighten our day, when a toy is dropped at our feet as we clean or they follow us from room to room to supervise.
Equally if we are asked to ignore them, we will do so.
